india 5India is a fascinating country. Rich in history and diverse in culture, and with its stunning scenery and exotic cuisine, India never fails to captivate its visitors.

And now’s your chance to learn more about aged care in this enchanting country.

With nearly 100 million seniors and an ageing population, senior living and aged care in India is at the cusp of an epic start. There is still stigma associated with the concept of senior living and formal aged care establishments; however, India is now seeing innovative senior living communities and aged care initiatives.

SAGE study tours offer a unique opportunity to not only learn and be inspired by aged care practices in other countries, but also offer some fantastic workshop and networking opportunities with international colleagues.

india 1Our 10-day tour, 14 – 25 February 2017, begins in Delhi where after spending time meeting your international colleagues, you’ll learn more about India’s aged care at The Golden Estate one of India’s first retirement villages. The following day we’ll visit Ashina Housing  a unique concept which includes residential aged care, senior living opportunities . This organisation also assists with education and skills training, particularly for women.

Full details of the tour have yet to be confirmed, but we’re also hoping to visit other organisations such as care agencies and medical establishments in Delhi too.

india 6We’re also planning on putting some superb sight-seeing on the itinerary including Agra, the Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and Jaipur.

Later in the tour, we will fly to Pune where you’ll learn about some more interesting initiatives including the retirement living opportunities at Oasis Senior Living.

The tour will finish in Mumbai where you’ll experience some more exciting aged care initiatives and meet some interesting age care related organisations. Mumbai also offers some sightseeing opportunities.

On this tour, you’ll be staying in boutique style hotels and have a program leader with you at all times.

This tour is open to anyone across the globe and suits CEOs, senior and facility managers.  Be prepared to be professionally, and personally challenged by the contrasts you will experience.

Full details will be released soon, so please forward your expression of interest in joining this tour to Judy Martin, judy.martin@thomsonadsett.com or klaus.zimmermann@commage.org
