Congratulations to our Founding Member ThomsonAdsett for taking out the top spot in the global elderly living sector in Building Design Magazine’s renowned World Architecture 100.
The list ranks the world’s largest architectural practices of 2017 by sector and industry, and surveys more than 1400 practices across the globe.
With offices in Australia, Hong Kong and Indonesia, leading international architecture practice ThomsonAdsett is one of the few Australasian firms to rank prominently in the global elderly living sector.
ThomsonAdsett Managing Director Chris Straw said the practice continues to conceive new and innovative ways to tackle the challenges of an ageing population.
“We’re thrilled to take out the top ranking for 2017,” he said.
“We’ve really invested in the Australian and Asian elderly living markets over the past 20 years, and are excited to keep growing our already strong portfolio.
“The increasing need for seniors living and aged care is pushing us to continue learning and improving our approach to elderly living design.”
Recently completed elderly care and living projects by ThomsonAdsett include Streeton Park in Melbourne, Jeta Gardens and a number of large-scale projects in China and Malaysia.
The firm also featured in World Architecture 100’s “Ones to Watch” category, as one of 25 firms best placed to rank in the top 100 in 2018.
